Nancy Frohman

Director/Principal, Columbia Business Services, Singapore
Based in Singapore, Nancy is currently a consultant focusing on issues of corporate social responsibility, private/public partnerships, sustainability, corporate and nonprofit governance, responsible investing, and social enterprises. Her overall mission is to bring a business focus to issues of business ethics and responsibilities, and to bridge the gap between the profit and nonprofit sectors.
Nancy began her career as a banker, holding managerial and executive positions with major financial institutions in New York, Jakarta, and Singapore. During her 20 years in the corporate sector, Nancy worked with clients and within her own companies on formulating strategic direction for optimal business results, with teams of both staff and consultants toward project fruition, and with companies through periods of intense corporate transitions.
Nancy focused on structured and project financing, particularly in the energy sector. During the Asian Debt Crisis, Nancy headed a debt restructuring group for a major financial institution. Nancy is extremely active in the community, with some of her roles including holding board roles for the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Junior Achievement Singapore, Chairperson for the Corporate Citizenship Group for the American Chamber of Commerce, Singapore, and probono advisory on governance for a number of nonprofit organizations.
Nancy has a BA from Duke University in North Carolina and an MBA from Thunderbird School of International Management in Arizona. She has lived in Asia for more than 13 years, currently living in Singapore with her husband and two girls.
