Bill Jones is the Director of International Business Development for Zephyr Environmental Corporation in its Columbia, Maryland office. Zephyr is a full-service environmental consulting and training company that services clients worldwide. Included in its environmental consulting business are air, water, and waste services, while its training branch focuses on incident response and emergency preparedness.
Bill is a degreed meteorologist, and has been in the environmental field since 1991. Bill leads Zephyr’s overseas initiatives, with a particular focus on the Middle East. He has managed large-scale air quality studies for the Dubai Municipality (in the United Arab Emirates), with the results of both of those studies being used by local officials in formulating strategies to improve the Emirates’ air quality. Over the years he has cultivated numerous relationships in various Persian Gulf nations, and is frequently invited to speak at various conferences and events throughout the region.
Most recently Bill established a Branch office for Zephyr in Dubai, making Zephyr one of the first companies in Enpark—a new Free Zone focused on environmental and alternative energy companies. Zephyr plans to use this office as a springboard for business opportunities not only in Dubai but throughout the entire Gulf, ultimately to help those nations enhance the quality of life for its citizens by assisting them in improving their environment.
